Frequently Asked Questions
Not sure where to start or which option is right for you? You're not alone.
Here are answers to some of the questions I hear most often. And if you're still not sure, let's talk. That's exactly what my free Connection Call is for.
What exactly is health coaching?
Most of us already know a lot about what we should be doing for our health.
Health coaching helps bridge the gap between knowing and actually doing.
It's a space to slow down, look at what's happening in your life, get clear about what matters to YOU and identify realistic changes that can help you move forward.
Rather than handing you another perfect plan, I'll help you figure out what works for your body, your goals and your life.
What can we work on together?
That depends on you.
We might work on nutrition, movement, strength, sleep, stress, energy, routines, consistency, mindset or simply making yourself a priority again.
You don't need to know exactly what you want to work on before we begin. Sometimes figuring that out is part of coaching.
What's the difference between Health Coaching and FASTer Way?
FASTer Way gives you a plan and framework to follow.
You'll have strength-focused workouts, nutrition guidance, tools and resources, technology, community and ongoing coaching from me.
Health Coaching starts with YOU.
Your goals, your habits, what's happening in your life, what's getting in the way and what YOU want to work on.
Neither is better than the other. They're simply different kinds of support — and sometimes they work really well together.
What's the difference between Small Group and 1:1 Health Coaching?
Small Group Health Coaching gives you coaching, accountability and connection alongside a small group of women working toward their own health and wellness goals.
It's also a more affordable way to experience coaching and get support.
1:1 Health Coaching gives us dedicated time to focus completely on you, your goals and what's getting in your way.
How is a health coach different from my doctor, dietitian or therapist?
Health coaching doesn't replace your doctor, registered dietitian, therapist or other healthcare providers.
I don't diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications or provide medical treatment.
Instead, coaching focuses on your goals, habits, behaviors, priorities and the changes you'd like to make in your everyday life.
It can work beautifully alongside the care you're already receiving from your healthcare team.
Do I have to be trying to lose weight to work with you?
Absolutely not.
Your goal might be to feel stronger, have more energy, sleep better, reduce stress, eat more consistently, build healthier habits or simply feel better in your body and your life.
Your health is about so much more than a number on the scale.
Are you going to tell me exactly what to eat?
Nope.
I don't believe there's one perfect way to eat — or one perfect way to take care of yourself.
We can absolutely talk about nutrition, protein, whole foods and other healthy habits. But the goal isn't another restrictive set of rules.
It's helping you find an approach that works for YOU.
What if I've tried a million things before and nothing seems to stick?
Then we're not going to start by finding you a million-and-one-th thing to try.
Instead, we'll get curious.
What's worked before? What hasn't? What's gotten in the way? What does your life look like right now? And what's one realistic place to begin?
You don't have to start over. We start where you are.
Do you offer virtual coaching?
Yes. Private and small group coaching can be done virtually.
I'm still not sure what I need. Where should I start?
Start with a conversation.
My free 15-minute Connection Call gives us a chance to talk about where you are, what you're looking for and which type of support might make the most sense.
No pressure. No commitment.
